Dontae Sharpe's Journey for Justice

Supporters, activists, and social justice organizations gathered in Raleigh to urge state officials to add Dontae Sharpe to the growing list of others who have been granted pardons in recent months, after serving time for wrongful convictions. Mr. Sharpe was fully exonerated in 2019.

Unlock Our Vote NC Campaign Press Conference

Forward Justice partnered with leading civil rights organizations in the state of North Carolina, including the NC NAACP and members of the NC Second Chance Alliance, to launch the Unlock Our Vote Campaign. Through the Community Success Initiative v. Moore litigation, the campaign aims to restore voting rights to nearly 60,000 people previously convicted of felonies- while simultaneously engaging the community through targeted voter education and registration efforts.
