Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
Forward Justice works to make justice accessible, and that includes this website. We want every visitor, including people using assistive technology, to be able to read our work, find our resources, and connect with us. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
What we have done
- The site is built with semantic HTML so headings, landmarks, and lists are meaningful to screen readers.
- Interactive components, including menus, filters, search, and the staff directory, are designed to be usable by keyboard.
- The site honors your system’s reduced motion setting; animations are turned down or off when you have that preference set.
- We maintain color contrast between text and backgrounds and do not rely on color alone to convey meaning.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives.
- Embedded videos are hosted on platforms that support captions.
Known limitations
Parts of our document library consist of court filings and historical records in PDF format, created by courts and other parties over many years. Many of these were not produced in accessible formats, and we are not able to remediate every historical filing. If you need the content of any document on this site in an accessible format, contact us and we will help.
Feedback and help
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, or need any material in an alternative format, please tell us. Email info@forwardjustice.org or call (919) 323-3889. Please include the page address and a description of the problem. We will respond as promptly as we can and treat every report as an opportunity to improve.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review the site as we add new content and features, and this statement will be updated as our work continues. This statement was last reviewed on September 21, 2026.
