About Forward Justice
A LAW, POLICY, AND STRATEGY CENTER FOR the South.
Founded in 2016, Forward justice is a law, policy, and movement strategy center dedicated to advancing racial, social, gender and economic justice in the U.S. South.
We serve as a strategic partner for nonprofit organizations, coalitions, and networks at the forefront of movements organizing for a more just, equitable, and free South. Our work catalyzes success for movements and expands democratic opportunities for people affected by injustice. The victories we achieve together accelerate national change.
We are organizers, lawyers, creatives, strategists and directly impacted people dedicated to ensuring that the ‘we’ in We the People is truly inclusive and representative of ALL Americans.
4 approaches, one theory of change.
01
Co-Create Strategic Vision and Action
We build shared vision and strategy alongside movement partners and the people closest to injustice, convening across the South to decide together what change is needed and how to win it. What we pursue is shaped with communities, not for them.
